TIPS:
Remember that today’s day in age is different from how it was back then. So don’t stress about school too much.High school students today have the anxiety of what a mental patient in the insane asylum had in the 50s. Here’s also a thing to show how times have changed.
Prioritize. List what needs to get done first and when. Sometimes getting the bigger/harder tasks is easier than conquering the smaller/easier tasks.
Set times when certain projects need to be done and stick to that deadline.
Turn your phone off or give it to your parents while doing work/studying. I know that we live in the age of technology and literally everything is at the touch of our fingertips. Honestly though you can wait on what your favorite celebrity has to say or if your crush liked your instagram photo. You’ll be more involved in that than you are into your work.
If you have trouble in a certain subject and there is no assigned seating, take advantage of the front. I guarantee you’ll learn more.
Ask your teacher what exactly you’ll need to know. If you’re taking notes during the year, write in the margins whether or not it will be tested. It will be easier to know what you will be tested on.
Save your exams. Half the time your teachers use the same questions (or questions similar) from your exams on your midterms or finals.
Don’t try to do homework straight afterschool if you can’t, despite what everyone says. Give yourself an hour, and try to get some exercise in. I find it stops me getting bored of sitting down. Not to mention helps me concentrate better.
Don’t just read the material, write it, draw it, recite it, quiz yourself on it! Until you have the material down.
Join clubs, sports, or organizations! You’re guaranteed to find friends in there. You’ll already have common interests. Start with that and go with the flow.
College kids: If you don’t have assigned seating, and you have been sitting in the same seat for 2 weeks. That is you assigned seat now. Don’t move or you’ll screw everyone up and they will hate you.
Color code things, such as your notes. If you want to see how I color code my notes message me and I’ll be happy to show you.
Be kind to one another.
I think that about does it. So yeah:)

Art from the book A Monster Calls written by Patrick Ness and illustrated by Jim Kay.

It’s a children’s book about a boy (Conor) who starts having nightmares about a monster every night since his mother started her cancer treatment. One night when he wakes up, there is an actual monster right outside his window. The monster is a yew tree in the cemetery behind Conor’s house during day-time but the monster we see at night. I wont go into more detail about the story because it’s really worth reading. You might want to have some tissues and ice-cream ready though.

It was inspired by Siobhan Dowd, who passed away due to cancer and could not write this book herself

HERE is the story if anyone is interested in reading this. It is just the story and no illustrations.

A guy finds these creepy guest-book entries , in a place he was renting at in Manzanita, Oregon. Since parts of the entries are hard to read, he posted the text with the images online. The entries read:

DAY 1 -[Morale] is high -We just arrived house is nice, warm, full of family. Food is good, and beds are nice, a bit rainy and windy but fun all the same. I think I’m [gonna] like it here :) -Devin

DAY 2 -That’s odd, there was no one on the beach today, it seems extra quiet. The construction workers didn’t show up today. We stayed inside today because the sky only cleared twice for us to go outside, the thanksgiving dinner was great, but now we’re almost out of food, haha my mom’s going shopping tomorrow at least. -Devin

DAY 3 This is getting really weird, on her way to the store there was no one around, the store was empty and seemed locked. Where is everyone? -Please contact

DAY 4 -Things are bad, Dad went scouting and never came back, now we’re down to 1 car and it’s out of gas. Food and [morale] is low, tv and radios are down as well as the internet, oh God, where is everyone? -Devin

DAY 5 -Electricity went out, we’re practically starving. Please, anyone. [Coyotes] have invaded town, and they’re aggressive. Nate went out the other day and didn’t come back, now we only go outside rarely and in pairs. I think this is driving me crazy, I’m not remembering things -Devin

DAY 6 -Oh God, we’re forgetting! everyone slowly, Ned forgot his name and mom forgot she was ever married, what’s happening to us?? Why am I writing these? Nevermind that, we need food badly! I would love to eat some… some… what do I want? I need to lie down. -Div…

DAY 7 -[Where], why? How? We’re dropping like flies. Oscar woke up this morning and didn’t know how to walk. Where’s mom? Where’s Nate? Where, where, where, where, oh God I’m losing it help
PLEASE -D

DAY 8 -If [you’re] reading this, it’s too late for me, I barely remember why I am writing these. Send help, I beg you, it’s only me now… Everyone else is gone or lost it. I don’t remember why… Take care… -…

This Man States He Is A Time Traveler and Is In The Picture Of The Gettysburg Address
“Andrew D. Basiago, 10, at Gettysburg, PA, on November 19, 1863, after being sent there from 1972 by DARPA’s Project Pegasus via a “plasma confinement chamber” in East Hanover, NJ. Andy is the boy standing to the left in the foreground of the image. He is wearing the large shoes that were given to him by Gettysburg cobbler John Burns after he walked into Gettysburg barefoot and shivering in the brisk autumn air after arriving from the future. Andy says that this image was taken shortly after President Lincoln arrived on the dais to deliver the Gettysburg Address.”
He said that he was a part of a group of kids from the 60’s and 70’s that participated in this time travel. It was a DARPA project called Project Pegasus. Some form of teleportation project.
Basiago stated that the knowledge of the future was used to alert future US presidents including both of the Bush’s and Barack Obama.  Basiago said that met future President Barack Obama in 1982 when he was attending UCLA and Obama, then a student at Columbia University, was visiting former classmates at Occidental College in Los Angeles. Basiago claimed that Obama, then age 20, already knew that he would one day be president.
Basiago also said that in 1972 he was rewarded for his good work at DARPA by being sent back in time via a wormhole to 1863 to witness Lincoln’s historic Gettysburg Address speech.
